Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains how Puthukunnath Consulting ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through this website and our mobile apps (a fitness tracking app and a neighbourhood safety app, both in development). We are an Australian company and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Information we collect
Website
- Information you send us, such as your name, email address and message when you contact us.
- Basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) recorded by our web host in server logs.
Mobile apps
- Account details: your email address and any name or profile details you provide when you sign up.
- Fitness and training data: workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, program selections, notes and progress you log in the app. This may be considered health-related information, and we treat it with extra care.
- Optional profile information: such as body weight, goals or experience level, only if you choose to enter it.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports and general usage analytics, used to keep the app working and improve it.
- AI feature inputs: if you use AI-powered features (such as questions about training or program suggestions), the text you enter is sent to an AI service provider to generate a response.
Neighbourhood safety app
- Location: your suburb or street, and approximate location when you choose to share it, used to place you in the right local group and to show nearby alerts.
- Posts and messages: alerts, check-ins, comments and any photos you choose to share with your group, which other members of that group can see.
- Reports: information you provide when you report a post or member, used for moderation.
The neighbourhood safety app does not replace emergency services. In an emergency, call 000.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and improve our apps and website.
- To create and manage your account and save your training history.
- To generate AI responses and personalised program suggestions you request.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To respond to your enquiries and support requests.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your fitness data for third-party advertising.
3. Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers to run our apps, and they process information on our behalf. These typically include:
- Cloud hosting and database providers (to store accounts and training data).
- Authentication providers (to sign you in securely).
- AI service providers (to process the text you submit to AI features).
- Crash reporting and analytics providers.
- Subscription and payment tools, if paid features are introduced in future. Payments are handled by Apple and Google; we do not receive your card details.
Some providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle information consistently with Australian privacy requirements. We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app, or by emailing us. When you do, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or to delete your account and data. Contact us using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request or a privacy concern, you may complain to us, and if unresolved, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
7. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Health and fitness disclaimer
Content in our apps is general information and not medical advice. Consult a doctor or qualified health professional before starting any exercise program. AI-generated content may contain errors; use your own judgment and stop exercising if you feel unwell.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "last updated" date above. For significant changes affecting app users, we will also notify you in the app or by email.
